Helping NEC Group, the UK’s largest live events organiser, reduce carbon emissions by nearly 222 tonnes per year through improved waste management practices

We worked in partnership with waste management company Biffa to help the NEC Group significantly reduce its carbon tonnes per annum by almost 85% since the partnership began in August 2020. Here’s how: 

  • Proactively reducing the number of vehicles used and time spent on the road  
  • Implementing one vehicle and one driver on site 24/7
  • More efficient scheduling of food collections
  • Packing time and volume efficiencies achieved through technology
